New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

Lawrence (Larry) Oslund, a dedicated worker on amateur and Legion baseball levels died in March, 2015 to end a long-time association with New Ulm's prominent sports.

Oslund was often found assisting amateur and American Legion and VFW baseball events at Johnson and Mueller baseball parks as a working member of various baseball organizations. Originally from Bird Island, he was employed at 3M for 32 years until retiring and enjoyed bowling, softball, hunting and fishing.

His volunteer efforts as a baseball supporter were recognized with his election to the New Ulm amateur baseball Hall of Fame.
