REDWOOD FALLS -Essig held off seventh and eighth inning rallies to nip Redwood Falls 4-3 here Wednesday to win its sixth Tomahawk League East encounter. Essig's Bluejays nursed a 4-1 lead before the Redbirds scored single runs in the seventh and eighth. Dusty Fleck went the distance in a 10-strike out performance and batted in two of Essig's runs. Adam Heiler fanned 13 for Redwood.
