SOUTH ALL-STARS NIP METRO EAST IN 12 INNINGS

Chaska - South All Stars had the game won once in the ninth inning but needed 12 innings to finally do away with Metro East 7-6 here in the opening game of the 2009 High School Coaches Lion's All-Star series. Garrett and Kyle Fischer of New Ulm started for the South in center and at third base. Each was 0 for 2 before leaving the game.
