Taking a 75-64 win Tuesday Jan. 19, 2016 at Springfield, Minnesota Valley Lutheran opened up a two-game lead in the long season schedule of the Tomahawk boy's basketball conference. The Chargers have six conference games remaining.

The win was No. 300 for coach Craig Morgan as he became the winning-est boy's coach. Last week his 299th had tied the late Harold Kaiser for the top boy's record. It also surpassed last season's 13-wins and was MVL's best win total since 2009-2010.

MVL is home in a non-conference game Thursday night with eastern neighboring rival Nicollet. A presentation willbe made to coach Morgan.
