New Ulm, three others left in running for '19 and '20 state amateur tournament hosting

Two proposed bids for consideration as the host for the 2019 Minnesota State Amateur baseball tournament have withdrawn from consideration. The move left New Ulm as the only single site which will make a bid at the June decision meeting.
Chaska/Waconia and Bird Island/Granite Falls have decided not to submit bids at this time. Joining New Ulm as considerations for 2019 are Delano/Maple Lake, Faribault/Owatonna and Brownton/Glencoe combinations.

According to the minutes of the recent state board meeting, "the bid process will take place at the June MBA meeting at the Eastside VFW to consider the four proposals. The minutes added, "It is duly noted that Chaska/Waconia and Bird Island/Granite Falls have decided not to submit bids at this time."

Thus, New Ulm (only single site), Delano/Maple Lake, Faribault/Owatonna and Brownton/Glencoe will be bidding for one of the two years.
