New Ulm Review July 29, 1948 identified this as the recognized city team from 1916 to 1918. The team included Ludwig Burk, Plymouth, MI; John Kalz, Los Angeles, CA; Harry Forster, Seattle, WA; Walter Koester (deceased); roman Lindemann, Detroit Lakes; George E. Arndt, New Ulm; Richard C. Olson, Chicago; Adolph Luetzen, Minot, N.D; William Engelmann, Bertha, MN; Butz Brunner, St. James; Patrick Eibner (deceased). Other members of the team not included on the picture were Ernie Schlueder, pitcher, South Bend, Ind.; and Herbert Kogge, catcher, Minneapolis; Alfred Koester, Catcher, Moorhead. Roman Lindemann was the team manager.
