In 1947 New Ulm Kaiserhoff sponsored a team in the Pasture League, a league made up of young players in the surrounding rural area (mostly west of New Ulm). Donald J. Veigel was a member of that team. The league then was not associated with the Minnesota Amateur baseball Association.
