Karl was owner of New Ulm Brick and Tile and involved in formation of early baseball for New Ulm Base ball Association starting in 1937. Sons Jack and Robert played for New Ulm teams and were involved in other sports for New Ulm High School. House location became site of Farmers and Merchants State Bank and was built prior to 1966 when it was acquired by F&M.
