Football action is likely in early 1950's when Herb Schaper was covering sports for New Ulm Journal and was the normally the New Ulm Journal photographer for 212 Conference sports activities.
Stewart was one of the teams playing afternoon football so photographers had better luck with shooting without needing flash to light up the dark night and like Gibbon, was close enough to New Ulm for the photographers from the Journal to run over to shoot a few pictures. |
