| Other Information: | Believed to have been taken during days of preparation for 1953 state amateur tournament in New Ulm. May include Ralph Werner of New Ulm Journal on 4x5 negative. Picture was set up by New Ulm Journal sports editor Herb Schaper who probably took the picture. Identiy of the other individual seated with former New Ulmite Ralph Werner is not confirmed. At the time Werner was a a teacher at Tracy and part-time summer employee of New Ulm Journal. Photo was taken with the group seated at Reinhart's Bar. Walls are papered with interesting advertisements. Pfeiffer is pictured on one or more of the vintage era teams in the early 1900's and may have brought along to show off one of the bats from those days. |
