All material is fo;ed in the master folder for Tomahawk League history project for 2018 in the Searles team folder. At time Searles may not have had the Grizzlies nickname it adopted in later years. The picture was identified with Ken Kuck the bat boy in front. Front row: drafted Lafayette catcher DeMar (Cotton) Anderson, Werner Reinhart, Bo bGrossman, Peter Mickelson, Gene Fostner, Pug Gareis, Elden Hughes. Back row: Shorty Lund, drafted from Lafayette; Luvern Schugel, Lavern Kuck, Dennis Blomqujist, Ken Gleisner, Vernon (Ader) Wieland, Myron Fostner and Bill Norman. Other material is found in Herb McIvor scrapbook collection of the 1951 tournament for the class Searles played in. As of March 7, 2016, Gleisner believed there were six players still living including drafted pitcher Shorty Lund of Lafayette, Luvern Schugel, Lavern Kuck, Denny Bloomquist, Gleisner and Myron Forstner. We believe Blomquist was deceased also.
