BULLHEADS UP RIVER VALLEY RECORD TO 10-1

HANSKA - The Hanska Bullheads got back on track with a 4-1 home victory over the Waconia Islanders Sunday evening, giving them a MSMABA River Valley Conference leading 10-1 record. The Bullheads got all the runs they would need in the first inning. Kyle Messner and John Giefer led off with back to back singles. Mike Marquardt executed a perfect sacrifice bunt moving the runners into scoring position for Dave Fauth's two-run single. Dan Erdman later scored Fauth with the fourth single of the inning.
Hanska scored an insurance run in the 5th on a walk to Giefer, a Marquardt double, and a Tom Steinbach single. Fauth was the winning pitcher, throwing six strong innings. He allowed just 2 hits and struck out seven Islander hitters in the contest. Messner worked the final frame fanning two.

The Bullheads are on the road with two big conference match-ups this week. They travel to rival Union Hill for an 8 p.m. ame Friday, and have a 2 p.m. Sunday game in Prior Lake.
