Hanska's Lakers, winning their 17th game in 20 starts, and the Long Sox of Lamberton (14-6) have wrapped up their respective American and National division championships in the Tomahawk East.

But in the Patriot division, four teams have lost 10 games and three are tied for first with the fourth a half-game back in one of the tightest division races ever. St. James, Springfield and Stark are 10-10. They have two games remaining. Leavenworth at 9-10 has three to play as the regular season concludes July 26. There are three other games between the division rivals. Springfield and Stark play a crucial game 8 p.m. Wednesday (July 22) at Stark. On the last Sunday, the 26th, Leavenworth is at St. James and Stark at Springfield in inter-division match-ups. Teams meet foes from other divisions in heading down to a very close finish at the wire.

The New Ulm area teams have Searles and Essig fighting for the two spot behind Lamberton. New Ulm's Brewers have avoided the worst record of the 12 Tomahawk teams with a 5-15 mark and will finish in fourth place in the National Division.
