JACKSON/WINDOM - New Ulm Gold and Mankato National will meet again Saturday for the championship of the District 2 American Legion Division 1 championship. Mankato had defeated New Ulm earlier. Gold played its way back thorugh the elimination bracket.

Mankato National continued to roll through the District 2 tournament Thursday with a 9-4 win over No. 1 seeded New Ulm Gold in the second row. Gold dropped to the elimination bracket where it faced the Fairmont and won 16-2 to advance to the finals. Sleepy Eye stayed in the running with a 8-3 win over Worthington but then was shelled by Fairmont 18-0. Fairmont eliminated New Ulm Blue 7-6 which had tying and winning runs on base in the last inning.
