HANSKA, LAMBERTON, STARK WIN TOMAHAWK "PLUMS" ROUND

Hanska took a 4-2 win over Sleepy Eye as its 21st victory of the season in the feature game of the "Plums" round of the Tomahawk East playffs. With all six teams guaranteed of region 2C games, the one game series Wednesday night is for seeding priority and also drafting rights.

In the other two games Lamberton topped Essig 13-3 in eight innings and Stark shut out St. James 9-0. Playoff brackets are attached.

Lamberton won the American Division championship by beating Essig 13-3 in eight innings. The game was scoreless for 4 1/2 before Lamberton jumped on Essig, for six runs, only two earned. All were against losing pitcher Ryan Weier who had blanked the Long Sox for four innings. A four-run eighth finally ended it. Winner Colby Pack gave up seven hits and two earned runs in 5.2 innings with Tyler Reiner finishing up. Landon Erickson had two doubles and two RBI. Donald Strand and Derrick Jenniges also had two hits and two runs-batted-in.
For Essig, Adam Prochniak had three hits and two RBI. Ty Sellner doubled and singled and Larry Haala had two singles.
