New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

Andy Beilke, Minnesota Valley Lutheran graduate, won double honors in basketball recently at Southwest State at Marshall, MN. He was named team's most improved player this past season , ending his career by playing in 106 games. The 5-11 guard averaged 8.7 points while shooting 37.9% FG and 36.7 3FGA. He also was selected to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference winter season's all-academic team. To be all-Academic, the athlete must travel with a varsity team and maintain a grade point average of 3.20 or better.
Andy's parents are Steve and Sue Beilke of Mankato. His grandmom is Lois Beilke of New Ulm and he is a nephew of Jeff and Laurie Beilke of New Ulm. Photo courtesy Southwest State sports website
