Hoffmann surges over .300 with hot streak

New Ulm's Jamie Hoffmann's last two weeks have produced a batting surge which has moved him over .300 in the Pacific Coast League with Las Vegas.

After starting below .200, his streak started with seven hits in 13 at bats back in April 20th and now has raised his averaged to .305 with 12 runs batted in, nine doubles, one homer and three stolen bases. Although cooling off a little in the last five games, he hit .357 in a 10-game stretch ending Thursday.
