Ray McClellan, the first treasurer for CRT, Inc., was remembered in Memorial Services Thursday at United Church of Christ in New Ulm. He died Dec. 12, 2011 at 82 years of age.

15 - Luther High School at Onalaska, WI recorded its sixth Coulee Conference win Tuesday to remain undefeated in this predominantly division 3 conference. Luther is a Division 4 school coached by MVL and MLC graduate Brad Schaper of New Ulm. Luther has a 13-1 record going into Monday Night's game (Jan. 21) against Division 4 Whitehall (9-3) at home. Schaper's son Aaron, a 6-0 junior, is in his second year as a starter. Luther lost in the section championship a year ago and won four games in the conference last year, it's best finish ever in the Coulee.
4 - Clayton Rust, grandson of the Marv Meihacks of New Ulm, made the trip to the Rose Bowl with Wisconsin. He is a 6-5 freshman quarterback who played for Shoreland Lutheran in the Racine/Kenosha area. His father married Anne Meihack.

5 - New Ulm Journal named several New Ulm players to the 2012 All-Journal football team. Tevin Mooter of New Ulm, Tyler Mielke of MVL and Jeff Osborne were named to the defensively. Adam Schnobrich of New Ulm Cathedral was the lone offense player. No honorable mentions were announced.

New Ulm’s baseball Brewers have been conditionally accepted back into the Tomahawk League East baseball league for the 2012 season. The action was taken at a special league meeting Thursday, Nov.
