jORDAN -- New Ulm advanced to the state championship game with a four-run ninth inning that overcame a 3-1 deficit and defeated Jordan
in the semi finals of the Minnesota Amateur baseball championship for Class C teams Sunday.
Jordan had scored two runs in the first inning to lead all thew ay until the ninth, staying in the game behind the three-hit pitching of Wade French who contributed a huge double oin the ninth inning/

Minnesota's Class C baseball champion possibilities were schedule to drop to four teams with action Saturday at Belle Plaine and Jordan. Two teams were to meet for the state title at Jordan at noon Monday, all depending on stroms which rolled through the area Sunday night.
New Ulm or Jordan will be one of the two survivors after they complete their 5 p.m. game. Meanwhile Sobieski has gained the semi-finals against Faribault, a 9-8 victor over Green Isle Irish. They play at 7:30 p.m.
