Tomahawk baseball remans 12-team league

SLEEPY EYE --- Amateur baseball's Tomahawk East League will remain a 12-team circuit, it's directors decided at Sunday's annual meeting. The applications of Fairfax and New Ulm Kaiserhoff were turned down due to increasing the number of league games all team must play.
Marty Brandl (Springfield representative) was elected vice president to fill the vacancy caused by the recent death of Ralph Zwaschka. Myron Seidl, president; and Terry Helget, secretary-treasurer, were re-elected. No changes in the league's operation for 2016 were contemplated.

SLEEPY EYE --- The annual meeting of the Tomahawk East baseball league will be held Sunday at the Orchid Inn in Sleepy Eye starting at 2 p.m.

In addition to normal annual items of discussion and action, the league is expected to consider the applications new teams. Fairfax and New Ulm Kaiserhoff have indicated some interest in join the league.
