OLYMPIAN ALI BERNARD ADVANCES TO NO. 1 RANKING

Ali Bernard, New Ulm's Olympic bronze medal winner, has advanced to the No. 1 rank in the 72kg weight class for the United States 2009 Senior World Wrestling Tournament. She now will train with the United States team for the World Tournament which will be held in Herning, Denmark Sept. 21-23. Ali won her event in the World Team trails in Iowa May 30, beating the No. 1 seed in two rounds as reported in the June 2 New Ulm Journal.
