Tomahawk League East baseball officials today released the selections for the National team for the league’s all-star game Sunday, July 5 at Gibbon. The game is at 4 p.m. A band concert by the "Gibbon Uncommon Band of Renown" is scheduled for 2 p.m. with a home-run hitting derby at 1 p.m. Food and beverages will be available on the grounds.
Teams aligned with the Nationals are New Ulm Brewers, Essig Bluejays, St. James A’s, Leavenworth, Redwood Falls and Searles. Searles and Levenworth named four players and the others three. John Branstad, of the St. James A’s will manage the Nationals. His coaching staff includes: Bob VanHee, Redwood Falls; Terry Helget, Essig; and Steve Kloeckl, Searles.
