New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

This report for the Bullheads was overlooked due to website overload at the time and is reported now in order that it can be included with the sports history of area teams. It was submitted in proper time by media rep Bruce Jacobs.

UNION HILL - Dave Fauth pitched and batted Hanska Bullheads to a 4-2 win over Union Hill Jan. 24. Down 1-0 in the fourth inning, Hanska scored four runs. Walks to Al Felber and Mike Marquardt, and and error loaded the bases for a three-run double by Felber. Tom Steinbach followed in another double for a 4-1 lead.

In six innings, Fauth allowed just three singles, fanned four and walked four. Messner got the save with a scoreless seventh and also had two of the four Bullhead hits.
