MARSHALL- With the Kaiserhoff's first round 13-6 loss at Marshall Wednesday night, baseball was breathing its last breath in New Ulm. The K faces elimination when it hosts Marshall here Friday night in the second game of the first round. If New Ulm loses, the date of the game (Aug. 7) might be the earliest New Ulm hasn't had one baseball "senior" team still playing. Six New Ulm teams of amateur, American Legion and VFW status have already been eliminated in playoff competition.

The loss was in Region 4B competition which also saw Mankato over Waseca 14-3. That second game at Waseca is also Friday night.
