Lamberton (1-0) is at Sleepy Eye (1-0) at 2 p.m., Essig (0-1) is at St. James (0-1) at 8 p.m. and Stark(0-1) is at Hanska (1-0) at 8:30. Two-time losers drop out of the hybrid round-robin double elimination format.

In Saturday games, Lamberton beat St. James 3-0, Hanska clipped Essig 9-3 and Sleepy Eye won from Stark with the score reportedly 5-2.

HANSKA - Dayton Larson and draftee Kyle E. Fischer (New Ulm) pitched Hanska to a 9-3 win over Essig in first round regional playoff action Saturday. Larson cruised with a 5-2 lead in the sixth when Kyle E. Fischer took over for the save. Kyle struck out seven in 3.1 innings. Christ Peters hit a solo home run in the third and Dusty Wilfahrt smacked a two-run double in the fourth and later got his third RBI. Brady Mosenden batted in two with two hits. Eric Portner also had a pair.

Ryan Weier had two hits for Essig. Kyle M. Fischer had a run-scoring double in the sixth inning.
