GAYLORD - Hanska unleased a 17-hit attack to take out the Moorhead Brewers 10-4 and Lamberton took a 3-1 win over Windom in second weekend state amateur baseball tournament play here Friday night. Lamberton now plays Winsted at 11 a.m. Sunday and Hanska meets Blue Earth at 1:30 p.m. in the start of double elimination play for the surviving teams. Both games will again be at Gaylord. Winsted beat Watkins 1-0 and Blue Earth defeated Forest Lake 4-0 at Arlington games to advance against the Tomahawk East's two representatives in the tournament.
Hanska jumped off to an early lead but then had a few anxious moments as the Brewers teed off on draftee reliever Kyle Fischer in the mid innings. Fischer then went heavily to breaking pitches and shut out Moorhead in the last three innings. the Lakers had a 7-0 lead after three thanks to a six-run second inning. Every Laker batted at least twice in spite of a first inning double play against them. Two players were up three times.
In the second a leadoff double by Micade Thordson and walks to Matt Suezz and Brady Mosenden set up a two-run single by Jeremy Drexler. Eric Porter and Dustin Wilfahrt followed with singles before Chris Peters unloaded a three-run double deep to center. Manager Drexler batted in his third run in the third after Matt Suess led off with a double and advanced to third on Mosenden's pitcher to first ground out.
Mosenden doubled home a run in the seventh. He later scored on an error. Landon Rathmann poked a 385-foot double in the eighth and scored after Chris Peter's third hit and a ground-out by Thorsdon.
Meanwhile Dayton Larson gave up two hits but no runs in the first four innings with defensive plays by Thordson and Mosenden helping him out. A hit batter, 355-foot triple and ground out set up two runs in the fifth. Kyle Fischer took over but was hit hard with Josh Dietz slamming a 366-foot home run with one on to get the Brewers their last two runs. The Brewers did leave the bases loaded in the ninth.
Derrick Jenniges earlier had another state tournament gem in leading Lamberton to it's 3-1 win over Windom. Windom didn't score until the eighth, ending Jennige's string of ____ scoreless innings in the state tournament. Lamberton scored a pair of runs in the sixth to ensure the margin of win. Walks got Windom in trouble in the sixth with one runner scoring on a wild pitch and the second coming in on a bases loaded walk.

Chris Peters hit a two out double to score three runs in the second. Josh Dietz hit a two-run home run for Moorhead in the sixth inning. Brady Mosenden doubled home a run for Hanska in the seventh.
