BULLHEAD 50'S SPLIT SEASON OPENER

BLOOMINGTON - The RV Bullhead 50s split a double header with the Bloomington Bees in M50BL baseball action Saturday at Bloomington's Kelly Field to kick-off a season for both teams. Players over 50-years-old play a season of games in the fall.
Bees, pitchers Larry Tucker and Gary Frisch held the Bullhead lineup to just 2 hits in winning the first game 9-3. Losing pitcher Keith Bense trailed just 4-3 until the late innings when Bloomington scored five .
Myron Seidl went the distance on the mound in game two as the Bullheads pounded out 14 hits enroute to a 12-5 win. A six-run first inning and one in the second off Bee's starting pitcher John Rausch set the tone for this game. It continued with five late-inning runs off reliever Terry Knopp. Every player in the lineup had atleast one hit with James Cottingham leading the attack with a 4/4 and three RBI. Tom Breuss, Bruce Jacobs, Gary Morsching, and Seidl collected doubles in the contest with Jacobs and Morsching also driving in 3 runs apiece.
