LEWIS NAMED TO CATHEDRAL HALL OF FAME

Mitch Lewis ’98 and Laura (Schmitz) Harper ‘99 will be inducted into the Cathedral High School Athletic Hall of Fame at a luncheon in their honor on Saturday, October 10, 11:30 AM at the Kaiserhoff.

Mitch Lewis earned eleven varsity letters at Cathedral - four in football, four in basketball and three in baseball.

Mitch was a starter in football for three and a half seasons. He was a versatile player whose career positions included safety, quarterback and wide receiver. Mitch was a three year starter in baseball where he again showed his versatility as he pitched and played the infield and outfield.

Mitch's best sport was basketball where he was a four year starter and All-Conference player. He scored 1,131 career points – fourth best in Cathedral boys basketball history. His .751 career free throw percentage is fourth best in CHS history, while his 77.6% free throw percentage as a senior is ninth best for a single season.

Mitch was the New Ulm Club/Cathedral High School Outstanding Senior Male athlete in 1998.
