LAURA (SCHMITZ) HARPER IN NUC HALL OF FAME

Laura (Schmitz) Harper will be inducted into the Cathedral High School Athletic Hall of Fame at a luncheon Saturday, October 10, 11:30 AM at the Kaiserhoff. Also being honored is Mitch Lewis '98.

Laura (Schmitz) Harper ’99 earned twelve varsity letters at Cathedral - three each in volleyball, and softball, and six letters in gymnastics.

Laura was a three year starter in volleyball where she was an All-Conference player and a 95% career server. She compiled 510 set assists in 1997, and recorded 1,003 set assists during her career. Both numbers rank second in Cathedral High School volleyball history.

Laura earned the maximum six letters in gymnastics, and placed first in many of her events throughout her career. She was a four time All-Conference athlete – receiving that honor as a freshman, sophomore, junior and senior.

Laura was a three year starter in softball where the teams on which she played won 80% of their games, and won conference and sub-section championships her junior and senior years.

Laura was named the New Ulm Club/Cathedral High School Outstanding Senior Female Athlete in 1999.
