BLOOMINGTON - River Valley Bullhead 50's came back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Twin Cities Twins 6-3 in eight innings Tuesday evening. After giving up two runs in the third, the Bullheads began their comeback in the fourth as Bruce Jacobs reached base on an infield error and Jeff Knutson walked. Tom Bruess drove in the first run.
Down 2-1 in the last inning, Tom Steinbach started a two out, two-run, rally with a hit to left. Knutson drove in Steinbach with a double to the right field fence and scored on a throwing error to put the Bullheads up 3-2. The Twins tied the game with a run in the last of the seventh and left the potential winning run at third to end the inning.
Brian Hall led off the 8th inning with an infield hit and Myron Seidl walked to set the table for Ray Glenn's game winning double down the right field line. Bruce Jacobs and Tom Steinbach then drove in two more insurance runs. Jeff Knutson went the distance for the win.
The RV Bullheads travel to Shakopee for a Sunday noon doubleheader, then host rival Cross-town Traffic Tuesday evening Oct. 13th in Hanska at 7:30 p.m.
