RIVERY VALLEY BULLHEADS BEAT MIDWEST ALL-STARS TWICE

HANSKA -The River Valley Bullhead 50s took a doubleheader from the visiting Midwest All-Stars in M50BL baseball action Sunday in Hanska. Pitcher Keith Bense allowed four earned runs and scattered seven hits in an 8-4 win in the first game. . Brian Donahue and Tom Bruess each drove in three runs. Todd Olson and James Cottingham had two-hit games.
Myron Seidl threw the 5-4 win in game two, allowing just one earned run and striking out four. Todd Olson lead off the game with ahit and scored on an error in the first inning. The Bullheads then scored 4 earned runs in the third on consecutive hits by Olson, Brian Hall, Donahue, Jeff Knutson, and Bruess. An All-Star rally that plated one in the final frame.
The Bullheads play in next weekend's seven- team post-season tournament at Northfield with a 6-4 fall record expecting to be the 3rd seed.
