New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

Minnesota Valley Lutheran seeded third in the Section 2A north sub-section volleyball playoffs which will begin Monday, Oct. 26. GFW was ranked one and Lester Prairie-Holy Trinity second. New Ulm Cathedral was eighth.

First games Monday match Cathedral (8) against Sleepy Eye St. Mary's (9) at Cathedral, Cleveland (11) at LeCenter (6) and Sleepy Eye (10) vs Cedar Mountain/Comfrey (7) at Morgan. All matches are 7 p.m. through the semi-finals.
The top five seeds get first round byes until Thursday, Oct. 29 with matches scheduled at Winthrop, Hector, MVL and Lester Prairie. Semi-finals are at highest surviving seeds with the championship scheduled at New Ulm High School.
