New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

Five fall sports standouts from New Ulm will be among 31 special athletes honored Tuesday night at KNUJ's annual Athlete of the Year award banquet. Mankato State volleyball coach Dennis Amundson will be featured speaker.

The program will be held this year at the Holiday Inn in New Ulm starting at 7 p.m. It will be the 45th annual banquet hosted by KNUJ.

Representing New Ulm schools are volleyball players Heather Dannel of Minnesota Valley Lutheran and Lauren Manderfeld of New Ulm Cathedral. Cathedral football players include Michael Glawe, Zach Fischer and Ben Forst. New Ulm High School football players are Tyler Polzin and Bryan Kehren.
