Jamie Hoffmann has ended his "winter ball" experience in the Dominion Republic and has returned to Minnesota to await the December major league Rule 5 draft.

Family sources reported Hoffmann has having problems with losing weight and continuing problems with his wrists.

He spent some time in New Ulm with family before moving to the metro area.

His batting average was below .250 when he left due in part to a bad start for the winter season. He failed to hit a home run in his games there.
