New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

LECENTER - New Ulm Cathedral's varsity boys and girls and girl's B team finished third in the LeCenter season opener tournament here Friday and Saturday but the boy's Bomber squad took the B team championship. The B team defeated Waterville-Elysian-Morristown 39-35 and then topped LeCenter 50-45 in the championship. The girls defeated LeCenter 37-35 in the third place game.

Boy's varsity won 70-41 and girl's scored a 62-40 win Saturday to win third places in their respective tournaments. (The boy's score is as reported by the tournament host. New Ulm Journal recorded the score as 70-39. There was, however, a score confusion in the brackets provided by LeCenter. Both Cathedral teams were indicated as winning 70-41.)
NUSC's brackets as attached will be adjusted if necessary to final official scores.
