KEY ANNUAL TOMAHAWK BASEBALL MEETING SET JAN. 31

SLEEPY EYE -- An important Tomahawk East baseball League meeting has been set for Jan. 31 at Sleepy Eye according to secretary Terry Helget. Meeting will be held at at 3:30 p.m. at the Railway Bar & Grill in Sleepy Eye.

Make-up of the league is the key topic since Hanska is required by state amateur rules to play in Class B for at least two years because their miracle run at the state Class C title put the Lakers into the championship game. Hanska will need to play in a Class B sectional but could be allowed to remain in the league.

The 12 Tomahawk teams of three divisions currently comprise one of the state's regions.
