Searles got four-hit pitching to blank Essig 10-0 in the Tomahawk League season inaguaral Sunday at Searles.

The first four batters for the Grizzlies scored and another was plated in the first inning. Four more runs in the fourth and one in the sixth set up a 10-run win.

Winner Matt Johnson gave up a single hits in the second and fifth innings.

Steve Kloeckl and Mitch Turbes led Searles with two hits each. Kloeckel scored three and batted in a pair. Turbes batted in three and scored a pair.
