New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

Plover is back and Depere, both Wisconsin teams, are the only changes of the lineups for the Junior Upper Midwest Classic and Las Vegas replaces Oakdale, MN., in the Upper Midwest Classic baseball tournaments coming up in New Ulm.

Junior Classic is June 24-27 with Johnson and Mueller Parks in New Ulm and Essig scheduled for round robin and championship games. New Ulm VFW Gold plays Sleepy Eye and Junior Legion meets Tonka Mudhens in the first games Thursday, June 24th. Other teams includ Omaha Gross, Maple Grove, Osseo, Rochester, Luverne, Mankato, Hutchinson and Omaha Creighton.

The Upper Midwest Classic opens Thursday, July 1 with New Ulm Blue opposing Plover and New Ulm Gold legion teams playing Sleepy Eye. Other contenders will be Burnsville, Eastview, Apple Valley, Sioux Falls, S.D., Duluth, Omaha Creighton, Rochester and Las Vegas, NV. Games are scheduled at the New Ulm Parks and Essig.
