WEBSTER - Tom Steinbach struck out 18 Wildkats hitters in a complete game four-hit shut out of Webster Sunday night in MSMABA conference play. The Bullheads offense scored five first inning runs. A Marc Max one out single started the spree. Back to back walks to Steinbach and Mike Marquardt followed before Brian Sieve drove in one run with a single. Following a Doug Eckstrom RBI fielder's choice, Al Felber plated two with a base hit and after walks to Bruce Gieseke and Bruce Jacobs, Felber scored on a wild pitch.
The Bullheads added one in the 4th on a Kyle Messner hit-by pitch, a stolen base and a Max single. They then added two in the sixth without a hit as Wildkats pitchers walked five in the inning. Searles capped off the scoring in the 7th on base hits by Jacobs, Steinbach, and Marquardt.
The Bullheads face Juan Berenguer and the Fairfax Cardinals for "Twins Night" tomorrow evening in Fairfax, then continue MSMABA league play in Belle Plaine Thursday night in a 7:30 PM contest.
