In testimony to the overall quality of the league, Sunday's Tomahawk East action found all four reported games decided by a single run and in only one case did any winning team score as many as five runs.
Springfield was involved in two of the games, beating Leavenworth 4-3 to finally win a one-run game. But hours later, the Tigers reverted and lost to to Sleepy Eye 5-4. New Ulm Brewers edged Hanska 2-1 and Searles stayed in the hunt for the overall first place spot with a 4-3 edging of Redwood Falls.
