Tonka Mudhens became champions of the Junior Upper Midwest Baseball Classic in surviving the field as well as two days of bad weather that cancelled out a whole round of games played at New Ulm and Essig sites.

The Mudhens knocked out pool champion Sleepy Eye 6-2 in the widest margin of the Final Four contests.
It then polished off Maple Grove 7-6 in the title game.
