300 SEE EAST BEAT WEST IN TOMAHAWK ALL-STAR

HANSKA -- With an estimated 300 looking on from the grandstand and from the host's special third base picnic area, the East All-Stars captured a 4-2 win over the West here Friday night. It was the Tomahawk League East's annual all-star game and featured a low-scoring encounter.

Jake Miesen was charged with the loss, working three innings, surrendering three runs on four hits. Jon DeRock earned the save, throwing the ninth and getting one strikeout.

The Jeff Cook MVP award went to Justin Schwecke of the Gibbon Red's (East All-Stars) who was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. His early base hit brought in the first two runs in a three-run first inning for the winners.
