With less than two weeks of regular season play remaining, division championships are still unsettled in the Tomahawk League East. Results of the past week helped keep the races alive especially with Searles beating St. James 3-1 in a makeup game and then falling to Essig 7-2 as the Bluejays moved up in the National Division.
Stark's win over Gibbon moved the Longhorns a half game behind Hanska in the American where none of the four teams is over .500.
The Essig Bluejays batted around in the first for four runs and added two more in the second in a 7-2 win over Searles. . Searles didn't get on the board until scoring single runs in the sixth and seventh.
Dusty Fleck, Mitch Sueber and Larry Haala each had two hits for the winners who garnered seven for the game. Fleck and Kyle Helget had doubles. Ryan Turbes collected three and Casey Lux a pair for the Grizzlies.

Lamberton and Searles both have now won 13 in the Patriot Division (Lamberton in two less games) while New Ulm has 12 wins in the National after splitting a pair of games Friday and Saturday. The over-all best record does have playoff implications.
Four of the games left on the schedule have extra importance. They include 7/14 St. James at Lamberton, 7/18 New Ulm at Essig, 7/20 New Ulm at Lamberton and 7/25 Lamberton and Hanska.
