Essig won its second Region 2C playoff game and qualfied for the state amateur baseball tournament with an 11-10 10-inning win over Searles at New Ulm's Johnson Park Tuesday night.

The Blujays await the survivor of the New Ulm/Lamberton/Searles games for a weekend determination of which of the three goes to the state as the regional winner or runner-up. New Ulm is at Lamberton tonight with the winner to play Searles Friday night at whichever survivor has the highest seed.
