New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

The MSMABA has announced their 2010 state tournament seedings and first round pairings with the seventh seeded Searles Bullheads taking on the Perham Silver Pirates at 7 p.m. Saturday game in Union Hill.

Jason McClellan, formely of New Ulm, is player/manager of the 10th seed Perham team which finished second place behind Alexandria in the Northwest Conference.

After five years as one of the top three seeds, the Bullheads begin in a lower position in 2010, but look to earning a spot near the top of the 32-team event before it concludes the following weekend. Undefeated Shakopee is the tournament's top seed led by another former New Ulm resident, pitcher Brad Keenan.

St. Peter, 2009 champion, is the second seed and rosters former NUHS players Kurt Moelter and Eric Wilner.
