Due to possible bad weather conditions in the Mankato region Sunday April 3, the dates for the upcoming NSIC baseball series between #8 St. Cloud State University (12-2) at Minnesota State University have been scheduled as doubleheaders each day on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2. Garrett and Kyle Fischer, 2011 NUHS, play for St. Cloud.

Game time Friday, April 1 is slated for 2 p.m. in Mankato, while the games Saturday start at 1:30 p.m. (weather permitting). Game times and dates are subject to change due to weather conditions forecast for this weekend.

Mankato enters the weekend with an 11-5 overall record and a 4-0 record in the NSIC. For the Huskies, these are the first games of the NSIC season.

Minnesota State is the defending NSIC champions and the Mavericks also gained the 2010 NCAA DII Central Regional crown - defeating the Huskies in the regional title game in Farmington, N.M. last May.
