Jamie Hoffmann, who was hitting .455 with the Albuquerque Isotopes, was called up to the Los Angeles Dodgers Monday morning.
Hoffmann left for San Francisco for the start of the Dodgers' series with the Giants which began Monday night.
Hoffmann texted that he did not know who was being sent down although the Dodgers have had injuries this season.
Hoffmann could not be reached for more comment as he was heading to a team meeting.
Sunday he had went 3-1-2 giving him a double and for singles in 11 AB for the young season in AAA. Monday night he pinch hit against San Francisco, batting for former Twin Matt Gurrier in the 9th.
