New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

Sixteen Minnesota teams will compete in two tournaments for 14 and under starting Friday to usher in the 2011 youth baseball season. All games are scheduled at North Park with opening games Friday evening with continued play Saturday and championship games Sunday.

New Ulm lays Lake Crystal in the A tournament and BOLD in the AA meet with both games openign the tournament at 5 p.m. New Ulm Sports Central will post scores of completed games during the weekend.

In the Double AA division, pool play involves New Ulm Chanhassen, BOLD and Belle Plaine in A while Eden Prairie, Woodbury, Red Wing and Sleepy Eye are paired in B. In the Class A tournament pools include: A - New Ulm, Lake Crystal, West Tonka Black, Northfield. B - Chanhassen, Owatonna, West Tonka Red and Mankato.

Saturday games start at 8 a..m.

Results during the weekend will be posted on New Ulm Sports Central as they become available.
