New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

Martin Luther College athletics has received a grant of $20,000.00 for equipment furnish its new basball field and comes through MLC's relationship with Nicklasson Athletic Company and its corporate partner, Sports, INC., MLC athletics This grant is available for small colleges and the community in which they are located.

MLC has been a community partner with all three New Ulm high schools, youth organizations, and local teams. Because of this community cooperation, Nicklasson Athletic teamed up to provide this grant in the form of equipment to help MLC finish its new baseball field. Items that will be provided through this grant include a scoreboard, dugout benches, pro batting cage, and outfield fence safety cap.

“This grant from Nicklasson’s will help MLC finish its facilities, and also make available another premier baseball field in the city of New Ulm,” MLC Athletic Director Jim Unke said
