A dozen teams have been announced to compete for the Junior Upper Midwest Classic baseball tournament at New Ulm starring Thursday (June 23) for a four-day run.

Games are scheduled at Johnson and Mueller parks in New Ulm and at Essig.

Four games will open the tournament Thursday, June 23rd including New Ulm VFW Gold and Junior Legion playing Sleepy Eye and Tonka Mudhens. Tournament ends Sunday to settle the championship between the finalists from the two competition pools.

Pool A includes New Ulm Junior Legion, Hutchinson, Worthington, Mankato, Maple Grove Jr. Legion and Tonka Mudhens. Pool B includes New Ulm VFW Gold, Osseo, Creighton, Nebraska; Luverne, Cold Spring and Sleepy Eye.
